How our website engagements work
This page summarizes our standard commercial practices. Every engagement uses a written agreement and project-specific scope. The signed documents control if they differ from this summary.
One-time website builds
- Starter and Business project prices are fixed in the written scope before work begins.
- A 50% non-refundable initial payment reserves production time; the remaining 50% is due before launch, source delivery, or ownership transfer.
- Starter includes one consolidated revision round, and Business includes two.
- If a client cancels, the initial payment is retained and approved work beyond its value may be invoiced.
Managed website plans
- Managed plans use a 12-month initial agreement and renew month-to-month afterward unless the written scope says otherwise.
- After the initial term and payment of all balances, the client receives the eligible project-specific website deliverables.
- Early cancellation with site transfer requires outstanding balances plus 60% of the recurring installments remaining in the initial term.
- A client may instead cancel without transfer, in which case future service and website availability end and unpaid project-specific code is not transferred.
Website Care and support
- Website Care is month-to-month and either party may end it with 30 days' written notice.
- Included edit time expires at the end of each billing month and does not roll over.
- We acknowledge ordinary support requests within one business day. Acknowledgement is not a guaranteed completion time.
- New pages, redesigns, features, integrations, and requests exceeding plan limits require a written change order.
Accounts, expenses, and ownership
- Clients ordinarily own and pay directly for their domain, Cloudflare account, analytics, email, and other business-specific services.
- Clients grant Nonsaas delegated access needed to perform the work rather than sharing account passwords.
- Third-party fees are excluded unless the written scope includes them. We may make a project purchase only with written approval and do not apply undisclosed markup.
- Clients always retain their content, brand assets, and client-owned accounts. Eligible project-specific deliverables transfer after the applicable payment or managed-term condition is satisfied.
- Nonsaas retains reusable tools, starter systems, methods, and general components. Open-source and third-party materials remain subject to their licenses.
Approvals, delays, and results
- Clients generally have five business days to approve a milestone or provide consolidated feedback.
- A project may be paused and removed from its production slot after 30 days without required client content, access, feedback, or approval.
- Invoices do not carry a standard late fee, but eligible ongoing services may be suspended after an invoice remains unpaid for 30 days and notice is provided.
- Accessibility, performance, security, and technical SEO work reduce risk but do not guarantee legal compliance, uninterrupted service, rankings, traffic, leads, sales, or revenue.
Handoff
After all applicable balances, initial-term obligations, or early-buyout amounts are paid, the standard handoff includes eligible project-specific source files, relevant assets, account and deployment information, and removal of Nonsaas access unless continued Website Care is active. Exact deliverables and exceptions are listed in the signed project scope.
